The Beliefs We Carry Shape the Reality We Live
Most of us are familiar with the experience of knowing something needs to change and yet finding ourselves unable to shift it, no matter how clearly we understand it. We set intentions, we reflect, we work hard. And still the same patterns return. The same inner resistance surfaces. This is not a failure of will or intelligence. It is simply how the subconscious mind works. Change at the surface rarely touches what lives beneath.
And yet beneath the patterns, beneath the beliefs, beneath the conditioning, something in us already knows. Not as a thought or a conviction, but as a quiet, steady presence that exists before any story we tell about ourselves. Our habitual or subconscious mind, where our beliefs and habits are stored, plays a fundamental role in our perception of reality. It is for this reason that often, two people living the same experience may perceive it differently. The subconscious mind also determines our perception of ourselves, and from these perceptions, we end up developing specific behaviors, which become our personality traits. That is why the most effective way to change a behavior or our perception of something is to change the subconscious thoughts or beliefs on which they are based.
If we are the ones who create our reality according to the way we are conditioned, how can we transform our perceptions and with it the reality in which we live?
